I studied Digital Design and Front-end Web Design. We delved into creating full websites, building website prototypes, crafting audience persona, designing with typography, building web applications using ActionScript (Adobe's version of JavaScript), creating client proposals and design mock-ups with Illustrator and Photoshop, and building interactive presentations.
I studied classical piano performance. I won top soloist for their Jazz band during festivals. I managed the music technology computer lab. This is where I first discover my love for web design and web development. It all started with two books, "Hacking Myspace" and the Macromedia Dreamweaver book. . Those books started my journey into the world of developing website and interactive media, and designing digital visual art projects such as event fliers, custom social media solutions, and print design media.
I studied music, mass communications, and music technology. I was introduced to Photoshop, and InDesign's predecessor "PageMaker during this season. ImageReady was the component to convert Photoshop website mock-ups into table based HTML layouts (an approach that is still viable for HTML custom emails, but not for modern mobile applications and web pages).
As the Front-End Web Developer, and Digital Design Art Director for this multi-year client, I was responsible for creating and deploying build all of their collateral in HTML, CSS, WordPress, Bootstrap and GitHub for version control for the Student Success Center, and much of the Graduate Programs in Computer Science, Engineering and Technology division. I created all of their print, web, and mobile collateral from 2013-2017 for the Success Center exclusively. From 2011-2013 I have be a front-end developer for the Graduate division. More recently I've been on the lead team in Front-End Development and maintenance of the overall university's website project.
We created design briefs, created marketing plan, and implementation for company websites, Flash splash pages, and full website prototype, information architecture skeleton, the build out, testing groups/user feedback, and website deployment.
