The setlist included around 15 songs for the first half, and 15 for the second half of the show. 30 songs in total. This is my approach to learning the songs and being ready that show that night.

Step One

Find YouTube lyric video/or instrumental of each of them.

Step Two

Create a basic Ableton session with (piano, ep, drum, bass, 808).

Step Three

Add 2 midi track

• one for song key
• one to write out intro chords or the first section

Step Four

Listen to each song - get the tempo, the song key, chord patterns, song sections, and sounds instrumentation (what sounds are used on the recording?).

Step 5

Create a basic - BARE BONES song sketch for each song on the setlist.

• Similar drum pattern as the recording
• just a basic MIDI-based version
